Hydroman™ THY400B Hydraulic Dredging Slurry Pumps are suitable for pumping all kinds of sludge, raw sewage, slurry and other heavy liquids with high concentrations of solids in suspension. THY hydraulic slurry pumps can be used in construction, industrial, dredging and mining as well as municipal applications. Hydraulic Dredging pumps are a special category of heavy-duty submersible slurry pumps that are utilized in the process of dredging. Dredging is referred to as the process of transport of underwater sediments (usually sand, gravel or rocks) from one region to another . Dredging takes place in shallow water areas of lakes, rivers or ocean for the purpose of land reclamation, desilting, flood prevention, creation of new ports or expansion of existing ports. Hence, various industries that utilize dredge pumps are the construction industry, mining industry, the coal industry, and oil & gas industry.

Design Features:

▪ High performance in heavy duty conditions - Hydroman dredging pumps ensure transportation up to 35% of dry mass (sand, gravel etc.) from total pump capacity. 

▪ Oversized motors are designed for sludge and slurries with solid concentration up to 70% by weight and 1.6 Kg/dm3. The hydraulic drive version is also available to provide higher performance in especially harsh working conditions.

▪ Advanced mixing and excavating movement is created by High chrome 28% agitator cutter blades. The agitator lifts and sucks settled sediments of solids, creating a continuous flow of concentrated slurry into the pump. Additional hydraulic excavators can be connected directly to the pump for extra digging support in hard-packed sand and clay.

▪ Low operating costs. Lower speed (rotations) ensures lower wear and long life of components. 

▪ Abrasion resistance, long service life and reliability guaranteed by the rugged and heavy construction. Extra strong wear parts produced in the GS 500 castings or chrome steel alloys are resistant to highly abrasive particles and provide longer life between spare parts replacements.
